Six female entrepreneurs will go head-to-head and vie for a once-in-a-lifetime business package to help them kickstart their business dreams.
The Inspiring Business Growth Project, held in Blacktown and driven by marketing and management expert Dr Theresa Teo, will lead local women through a nine-month entrepreneur development program.
The entrepreneurs will have the chance to win one of two $4000 business packages to help them expand their business.
The women will undergo three months of personal and professional development before taking part in a six-month mentorship.
Dr Theresa Teo said the women ranged from single mothers, to older women to a young entrepreneur.
“The whole idea is allowing people to understand their purpose and vision,” Dr Teo.
“This is something I’ve realised is lacking in the community.
“A lot of people dream, but they sit there and don’t do anything about it.”
Dr Teo said women entrepreneurs had the added challenge of juggling their home life and their business.
“Women have a lot of conflicting goals. They might dream to have their own business but, on the other hand, they might have a child,” she said
“There are many things they’re fighting against.”
Stage one of the program focused on personal branding, public speaking and personal dress.
Participants include, Gabriella Kovacevic, Judith Viado, Molly Zhao, Jennie Thompson, Tracey Wyber and Eleen Yaw.
